Field Classification Tester

The Classification Tester is used to obtain a quick estimate of unconfined compressive strength in the laboratory or the field. One common application is the testing of a trimmed portion of a split spoon sample taken during drilling operations. This tester has a 4 1/4 in (10.8 cm) dial face with graduations in pounds and kilograms, and a maximum load pointer. The testing capacity is 350 lb with an accuracy of ±1%. The body is made from cast aluminum, with the base plate drilled for bench mounting.
