Vacuum Pumps

Models G-400 and G-405 are belt-drive, two stage vacuum pumps designed for laboratory distillation, filtration, degassing, vacuum deposition and as roughing pumps in high vacuum systems. The relatively low pump operating speeds and large oil reservoirs ensure long and trouble-free operation. Model G-405

These pumps are mounted on rectangular steel base plates and have V-belts and guards. They are supplied come with a quart of oil.

Model G-405 is fitted with a gas ballast which consists of a valve that allows a controlled portion of air to be bled into the pump exhaust stage. This permits rapid purging of entrained water vapor in the pump oil. This allows totally closed operation to achieve maximum vacuum.
