Slump Testing Overview
Slump Testing determines the consistency of fresh concrete. The Slump
Cone is filled with fresh concrete in three layers, tamping between each
to remove voids. The concrete is leveled off with the top of the Cone.
On removing the cone, the slump is measured. The Slump Test can be used
with fresh plastic concrete with aggregate size no more than 2 inches
or 5 centimeters.
