ASTM D 1559

The Wooden Compaction Pedestal is used with the Stability Compaction Mold during the compaction process of the specimen. It consists of a wooden post with a moisture resistant finish and is 8 x 8 x 18-in with a 12 x 12 x 1-in steel cap. Four angle brackets are fastened to opposite end for mounting to concrete slab.A mold holder (AM-159) is used to secure the mold to the pedestal, the hammer holder aligns the AM-159 Hammer.
