Job Summary:

• Support customers throughout the pre-sales evaluation, quotation, field deployment and troubleshooting phases of projects while providing support to the sales team and distributors.


• This position instills confidence in DGSI and its products by providing specialist input on a diverse range of projects, determining the true technical requirements of the customer and matching their field application to the best suitable product.

Major Duties:

• Provide expert technical support for product applications both internally and externally.
• On complex or special projects, participate as expert in presentations and technical discussions with customers, help determine the best solution for the customer, develop the pertinent proposals, discuss the application further with customers as needed.
• Provide field applications know-how to Engineering, Marketing and Sales relating to the development or release of new products.
• Contribute to the intellectual capital of DGSI by transferring technical information, lessons learned and best practices to a centralized information repository.
• Monitoring the marketplace for new product, supplier and market opportunities.

Qualifications: 

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology
• 5 years of field experience in geotechnical work, preferably with a consulting firm. Familiarity with geotechnical instrumentation is a strong plus.
• Must be physically able to frequently travel to various clients’ offices and job sites.
• Other important qualifications include good communication skills and good people skills, technical writing and public speaking. Fluency in Spanish a plus.
• US citizen or legal resident alien.
