IV Auto Speed Control System |
|
|
 |
Electrical
level control system to Increase pump life by reducing the
number of motor starts and stops.
Application:
Maintain
a precise draw-down level in a well for extended periods.
|
|
Description
• Control panel for 1 to 4 pumps
•
Variable speed drive module
•
Digital readout 4-20 mA
•
Mini transducer
The SEP IV Auto Speed Control System is used with a mini pressure
transducer mounted above the electrical pump to maintain precise
water table drawdown. The inches of water above the pump will be
displayed on the control panel. The user selects the desired liquid
level to be maintained. The transducer works with the variable
speed drive matching the motor speed to the well recharge reducing
motor starts and stops to increase motor life. Should the motor
speeds not be able to match recharge rates, liquid high and low
levels can be selected to turn the pump off. Three phase motors
are required with this system. The maximum distance from the pump
to the control panel is 175 ft. Greater distances will require
the use of line filters . Transducer selection will be based on
the desired water column above the pump. When designing the system,
necessary information includes: well depth, inches of water above
the pump, desired water table drawdown and the distance from the
pump to the control panel. The system requires a 115 V (ac) supply
with voltage spikes not to exceed 10%. It is necessary to protect
the power supply from surges to prevent damage to the system electronics.
