The upper and lower centralizers are mounted at both pump extremities to guide the assembly past internal pipe irregularities such as those encountered on butt-fused PVC pipe. The centralizers improve laminar flow around the pump and allow the motor to operate at a cooler temperature.

In addition to the centralizers, the set includes a nipple, a coupling with cable hook, and connecting rods.
